Hello, Sweetie! has just been released and is 20% off until Midnight (EST) July 20, 2016 - no coupon code required in my Ravelry store. You can download it here.
Inspired by the catch-phrase of The Doctor’s wife, River Song,
this fun sock pattern uses mosaic knitting and cables to create the Hello,
Sweetie! stitch
pattern on the leg and foot of the socks.
I combined a solid yarn (Sweet Georgia Tough Love Sock in 'Orchid') with a rainbow gradient yarn (Estelle SockItToMe bold in '52602') to get the really cool 3d - gradient effect.
Slipped stitches are used to create the colourwork pattern. There
is no stranded colourwork and each row is knit using only one colour.
This sock is worked from the cuff down and features a short row heel that doesn't interrupt the
alternating stripe of the pattern.
Instructions are included to knit socks in narrow, medium, wide and
extra wide widths. Foot length is customizable.
Happy Knittng!
